We are hosting a Juneteenth “Death of the Food Desert” Celebration! Say Food Desert to the Urban Goddess, it isn’t pretty!

If you don’t know about Juneteenth and why we would celebrate it, check back here. The hip hop guy, who is also a  historian in the making, will post something about it.

Its a fund raiser!    It’s a grand opening!

We are opening the Graffiti and Grub Market! (formerly the  Good Food Market). THIS IS WHERE WE KILL THE FOOD DESERT LANGUAGE!

Local Chefs are preparing the best organic, local, sustainable food.

Don’t get excited, it’s a t-shirt or a book. You can also buy your very own game for $40. 00 bucks. The hip hop guy invented the game, he may even sign it for you but you have to ask. He is from Detroit. Enuf said.

This is not a quiet evening! This is loud! In your face! And FUN!  And we will let you dance (gotta have house!) after dinner! Work off some of those calories and stress.

Just heard about your store today on npr. Sounds like a great, great place. Sorry I missed the first fundraiser, but I’ll definitely check back for the next one.
    Good luck with the store!

I saw a story about your store on the news this morning and I wanted to commend you on the love, food, education and service that you are offering to that community. Looking forward to joining you at your next event.
